1. Why are you called Barnacle Travels?

We thought we should name our website after the things that we love. We love our dog Barnacle and we love to travel! And even though we love other things too, we didn't think that ThriftStoresMomandDadRoadTripsFunnyAnimalVideos.com sounded very good.

2. What are City Blocks?

City Blocks are home decor accents that are handmade by us! We took pictures from some of the more iconic or picturesque places we've traveled and transferred them onto a wooden block to display in your home or office.

Each block is hand cut, sanded and stained before the image is transferred to the wood. Upon completion of the image transfer we seal the entire block with a Lacquer. These blocks are actual wood and they will each have a personality and rustic look based on knots and the character of the wood. 

3. What are the City Blocks made of?

The wooden block is cut from cedar. We also use an oil-based stain, transfer medium, lacquer and ink.

4. Where are you located?

We mostly hang out in Saskatoon, Canada. All products will ship from Canada. 

5. I'm in the United States. Will I have to pay customs and duties?

Customs and duties are charged on orders $200 or more and you will be responsible for paying duties and fees, should they be incurred. 

Sales tax may be charged by customs upon delivery and will be based on your local tax rate. Should US customs charge sales tax it is the customer's responsibility to pay upon delivery of the order. 

6. I want my own picture on a block. Will you make custom blocks?

Yes! Fill out the form under the custom blocks section here. After it's submitted we will have everything we need to start your custom block. Once you have submitted your Custom City Block form, remember to click “Add item to cart” in order to checkout.

Once you have checked out we will begin preparing your Custom City Block. We will be in touch via email with drafts of what your block will look like, before we begin making your product (please note: We will tweak and edit your block up to 3 times). Once we get the go-ahead from you, we will start! Please allow 3-5 days for production. 

7. What are your refund/privacy policies and terms of service?

8. How do I do a return?

If you are unsatisfied in any way, we will do everything in our power to make it right. If you would still like to return something to us, please let us know within 30 days of placing your order and we will gladly accept your return.

9. I have a problem with ordering/the product/the shipping/figuring out something on the website. What do I do?
